EARTH DAY

Yayy, Earth Day!

I am very excited to go see the new Earth movie by Disney tonight. For every ticket sold in the first week, a tree is planted. See the movie, plant a tree! Sounds great to me!

I wanted a fish to add to my wall collage, since I am a pisces! These are some fishies I found on my journey. I bought one, but I may need another!

I love this fish in a bag ... but then I got a little creeped out that the fish was dead. I don't know I still love it. Maybe I need it.

NOT SO FUN EVENTS IN APRIL

Ok, I am so stressed out right now ... I almost want to cry. So instead I am going to do a quick blog to make me happy/vent!

This month is just HELL! I have projects in every class, finals in less than a month, and all I really want is SUMMER! (and a drink) So if I am neglectful in blogging for the next month, this is why:

April 16: English Project Presentation, English Project Paper Due, English Essay 2 Due

April 22: Accounting Project Due

April 28: Legal Project Due, Legal Exam 3

April 30: English Final

-- Somewhere in there I have a Management Project and Presentation Due as well, but she hasn't decided the date!

All of this on top of regular homework, quizzes, and finishing a novel I am behind on! I think I need to take the next month off of work!

Anyways, I just completed my English Project ... so that is refreshing. I also have pictures for yall! It is on William Faulkner's short story "A Rose for Emily." The concept is Jeopardy, but instead of points ... you get lovely treats! I strung poster boards together, so it can hang off the board in class and people can choose the category and treat they would like ... such as "Old South vs. New South for Chocolate Covered Marshmallows!" If you have ever read "A Rose for Emily," you will know what the last picture is about ... it makes me laugh!

HAPPY EASTER

Easter was hosted at our house this year. It was a busy weekend of non-stop cooking and cleaning, but very rewarding also!

These are the lovely things I made/helped make for Easter this year: Homemade Lemonade, Maw Maw's Seafood Gumbo, Philly Delight, and Sugar Cookies.

We also had on the Menu: Crawfish Bread (by Leigh), Jambayla (by Lacey), Corn Dip (by Ashley), Lemon Cake (by Aunt Meme), Veggie Plate and Deviled Eggs (by Mom).

I ate way too much!

I hope your Easter was just as good!

GOOD FRIDAY CRAWFISH BOIL

New Orleans traditional Crawfish Boil on Good Friday. Quality time with the family and delicious crawfish ... can't ask for much more than that. Oh wait, and an iPhone! Perfect Day!

STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL

Sunday started at 9, got ready and headed to the Ponchatoula Strawberry Festival. Also so much fun. Here are some of the things we had ...

I ended the weekend by running to the grocery store and cooking dinner for my Papa B and Mom. Steak, Baked Potato, and Broccoli ... YUM!

WHO'S BAD

Another wonderful weekend. Friday after work ... drinks with the girls at The Bulldog, then straight to bed (I was exhausted).

Saturday started promptly at 7:30: cleaning, gym, grocery store, cook, eat, bring oscar to get his shots, get ready, grab a quick dinner ... then off to The House of Blues to see Who's Bad.

They truly live up to their name! They were AWESOME! So much fun!

J.CREW SHOPPING SPREE

J.Crew has come out with so many yummy things ... that I just had to have!

It took a ton of restraint not to buy this GORGEOUS shirt that looked so perfect with the white linen pants. But it was also $90 and on my small college budget, it was a little out of reach ... then I found the bathing suit in the same pattern. LOVE!
